It was just a few days before the Pasadena, California, Dog Show, in February, 1937, when Miss Crandall was photographed holding Bandit of Cote de Neige. Bandit was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Barton Sewell, who had recently acquired Bandit from Mrs. Butcher. Bandit was considered the "first specimen of the breed ever to be exhibited in Southern California". By the way, Bandit was awarded Best Of Breed in uncontested competition by Judge A. Korbel.
