National and local dog clubs around the nation are faced with the mounting problem of unwanted, abandoned, and stray purebred dogs. Many individuals involved with purebred dogs find themselves providing homes, care, grooming, training, veterinary care, and, relocation efforts for dogs in need of new homes.
Often dogs in rescue situations are quite capable of being loving and devoted companions to their new families. Some wonderful, loyal, and loving pets have come through rescue services. Do consider obtaining your Great Pyrenees through a competent rescue organization. You can support rescue by financial means, and, more importantly, by spaying or neutering your Pyrenees. We do practice what we preach, as many, many of our Champions are never bred. We salute and extend a Thank You to all of the rescue people around the world who unselfishly provide rescue services, and those very kind people who have adopted their Pyr through a rescue organization! |
